Lina Marulanda, Death

Early life and career

When Marulanda was 12 years old, she began her modeling career in her hometown,[vague] but back then the relationship with her teachers, the nuns of Santa Maria del Rosario College deteriorated because of her business and, shortly thereafter, she went to the school, "Parra Paris", where she continued her studies and business as a model.

After completing her studies in high school, she enrolled in Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogota, where she studied publicity.

On 2002, her debut as a presenter was in the Noticiero CM and later entered to Caracol News in 2003, which presented the 0700 edition and the international section of the broadcast. Since 2003, the celebrity and entertainment in the broadcast, she, alongside the host and actress, Margarita Ortega, and later by the Cali model, Adriana Arboleda.

In December 2005, Marulanda went on to lead the entertainment section of the other World News Caracol 12:30, with journalist and presenter, Ivan Lalinde.

In early 2007, she saw a new role as a presenter, and this time, driving the reality show Challenge 20-07, Canal Caracol. In July of that same year, she returned to Noticiero CM &, doing special reports on Colombiamoda 2007, as much for this news for the station W Radio.

On 24 July 2009, Marulanda began making formal part of the desk of Time The Return of the W Radio, replacing Marcela Sarmiento.

On Thursday, 22 April 2010, Marulanda died after falling from the balcony of her apartment, located on the sixth floor. She was with her father at the time. Her death has been termed a suicide. The news of her death was confirmed by former colleagues of the W Radio and the CTI of the prosecution at 12:15 on Thursday, 22 April. She faced the breakup of her marriage to Carlos Oñate, her second husband, their marriage had lasted only four months.
